In the rest of the world, the more infectious Covid-19 variant going around is called the UK Variant. Here in the UK, we call it the Kent Variant.

I wonder if the people in Kent narrow it down further, maybe calling it the Canterbury Variant or something? The people of Canterbury might call it by the name of a local housing estate. Eventually, it would get to the level of maybe Phil's Variant.

I'm sure the people on the International Space Station must routinely refer to the Earth Variant.
