Anecdote
I went to the dentist this afternoon to get a post implanted ready to have a bridge fitted next week or the week after. The dentist gave me a temporary crown on the tooth with the post, "for cosmetic reasons".
Here is the result:
Jeez, if that's a cosmetic improvement, I'm glad she didn't show me what it looked like before.
Actually, I may find out fairly soon, as it protrudes so much that the pressure exerted on it by my lip is such that I doubt it'll last more than a couple of days...
