Our road is on a slant, so the water ran down it and onto a different road. There, it spread out, and with the recent cold weather it froze to give a splendidly icy surface. The people down our road were therefore less concerned about the leak than were the people living in the next road along.
This morning, the signs have been taken down and the leak has been fixed.
It only took five days.
