Anecdote
Ever since my birthday, the ads in my Facebook feed have started to be about life insurance, pre-paid funerals and health cover. I think maybe the 55/56 boundary triggers some kind of "sudden awareness of own mortality" checkbox for advertisers.
Nice try, advertisers, but I still think I'm going to live healthily forever, so your messages are wasted on me.
