Lost Dates

Anecdote

Whenever I have a meeting or event organised for next year, I write it down on a post-it note and stick it on a pile at the end of our calendar. That way, I can write all the events in when I get a calendar for next year.

I went to the calendar yesterday to check what I had planned for April next year, only to discover that the pile of post-it notes had come off. I don't know where it went, but the calendar is directly above the bin so I fear the worst. I've just spent several unpleasant minutes checking through two bin bags (reminder: I've had a really bad cold over the past two weeks that involved the ruin of many paper tissues) but to no avail.

This means I am going to find events suddenly appearing without warning, plus potential double-bookings.

Sigh.
