One of the topics I've been mulling over a blog entry is "famous movies I haven't seen". There are some absolute classics that have somehow managed to pass me by — Casablanca, Duck Soup, High Noon, The African Queen to name but four.
Thus it was something of a surprise to open the box that my friend Frank sent us for Christmas and find it was full of DVDs of these exact missed movies. On the one hand, it's yay, because I get to see the movies at last, but on the other hand it's augh, because I lose the planned blog entry.
Except, of course, I now get to write this blog entry about missing the old one, so it's back to yay.
