Infertility

Weird

On the local TV news this morning, we had a feel-good story about a woman who had survived breast cancer but the chemotherapy had left her infertile, so she'd adopted two children. Her mother and grandmother had both died of breast cancer, so she was telling her story to make other women aware of the importance of catching the condition early.

All very laudible, although in passing the report did mention that she's also had a double mastectomy and both her ovaries removed. Wouldn't maybe the latter surgery have had a greater impact on her infertility than the chemotherapy?
