Anecdote
When it comes to marking final-year projects, we use a dual-marker system. The student's supervisor is one marker and the second assessor is a different member of staff.
One might think that second assessors would be chosen from among those members of staff who have expertise in the subject matter.
One would be wrong to think this.
I'm about to start reading a 30-page project report entitled "Electrophysiological Modelling Based on Human Ventricular Heart Model and Simulation of Long QT type III Syndrome".
