Had the extra-" bug in Lizzie Lott #3 been the only show-stopper, I'd have been tempted to stop where I was. However, I found a second one in my last read-through. Worryingly, this had no obvious cause; I suspect it appeared because I thought I was typing something into Word's search field but Word decided to put it in the text (it does this kind of thing sometimes, for example when it's auto-saving).
Oh well, I took the opportunity to mush two chapters together and split a third, over-long one, in twain. That may make the next read-through more interesting, but probably introduced more bugs, too.
This exercise is definitely persuading me to make Lizzie Lott #4 shorter.
