I'm sure the university has some logic behind asking students to make promises that it knows almost none of them will keep (or even attempt to keep), but I don't know what that logic is. Rather than attempting to guilt students into attending lectures, perhaps it ought to make the lectures better (or at least timetable them for when students are awake).
Also, that first "modules" should be "module".
