Anecdote
It's not all that long since our road was resurfaced, but these strange, dark patches have started appearing on it.
They have tyre tracks on them at weird angles.
It looks as if the road is melting in places, but when the patches started to appear we hadn't had any particularly hot days. Either they're something that's been caused by a single, rogue commercial vehicle, or someone made up a bad batch of tar.
Oh, it could be a hellmouth opening or something too, I guess.
