Gender Balance

I don't see why some men don't want more women in the games industry.

At the moment, the industry is overwhelmingly male. However, most game players are female. This seems to suggest that men are good at designing games women like.

Surely, therefore, this means that women should be good at designing games men like. Therefore, men who want games made that they would like to play should be advocating having more women in the games industry.

Personally, I don't buy the argument that one gender is better suited for making particular kinds of games than is another, any more than I believe Harry Potter books would have been better had they been written by someone with actual experience of being a boy wizard at a private school.

The reason I want more women in the games industry is because it would practically double the total number of creative people making games, which would mean more professional-quality games all round for everybody. That has to be a good thing.
