Anecdote
It's nearly 3 months since I went to my doctor about this cyst on my lower right eyelid. The doctor referred me for eyelid surgery, but I haven't heard anything since. Today, I dropped in on the practice with the intention of asking the number of the person at the hospital where I could get some indication of how much longer I'm going to be waiting to get the cyst removed.
Hmm. It turns out the second sentence above is wrong. The doctor said she was referring me for eyelid surgery, but didn't actually refer me. I'll be referred later today.
So, that's the back of the eyelid surgery queue for me after waiting three months in the belief I was gradually moving along it.
Wonderful.
