Anecdote
I heard yesterday that the actress Kate O'Mara had died. A few years ago, she was starring in a play at the Mercury Theatre in Colchester and I happened to see her wandering around in Asda. She was dressed in a shell suit and was pushing a large trolley full of bottles of wine and spirits to the checkout.
I guess it must have been for some kind of after-show party. If her alcohol consumption was that high, she'd never have made it to 34 let alone 74.
