The Internet Lies

Outburst

I have a fews hours free this morning to try track down some Stuff to appease my family for having skipped off abroad for two days without them. The Internet assured me that the weather here would be fine, with just light cloud on the Wednesday followed by three days of glorious sunshine. What actually happened was light cloud on the Wednesday followed by three days of thicker cloud disgorging its contents in creative ways.

Because of what the Internet told me, I didn't bring an umbrella. If only I'd heeded the maxim "you can't believe everything on the Internet", I might have brought one anyway and then I wouldn't be facing the prospect of wandering around the city centre in a damp jacket that (smells of cigarette smoke.

The Internet lies, and it does so to annoy me personally.
