Weird

The final cigarette card book my dad sent me is "The Reign of King George V", from 1910 to 1935 (silver jubilee).

I recognise the face of George V because he was still on the coins when I was a kid, but I'm not going to talk about him much because if you were interested you'd be all over his Wikipedia entry. No, instead I'll bring your attention to the one card in this book that refers to the girl who was to become our current queen:



I wonder when next Wales will give the daughter of the second-in-line to the throne a 40% scale model house for her sixth birthday. I'm guessing we'll have a long wait...

Or maybe it was the Czar of Russia on the coins? He and George V look like they were manufactured using the same components.
