Anecdote

I received a gorgeous map of Prussia today, for my growing collection of maps from 1869:

This one came from a school atlas, and consequently has some writing on the back as these things often do. This particular one has the second page of <more than two> relating to South America. This is what it has to say about the natives (continued on the next page, which I don't have):

I wonder if you could get away with saying any of that today, a mere 141 years later?
