Rapid

Outburst

The university has a fast-food outlet called Rapid. It sells wraps.

I've nothing against wraps per se, they're like glorified sandwiches. I don't eat them myself very often, but I accept that plenty of people do, and it's fair enough that they can get them.

What I don't like, though, is the smell that emanates from Rapid. It's some kind of fat, and it's very sickly. It's got to the stage where I try to avoid walking past it from lunchtime onwards, just because of the smell. I'm sure it doesn't bother most people, and some may even like it, but to me it's awful. Even when I have a cold and a sense of smell coloured by Vicks First Response, it's still awful.

I just hope that the prospective students who are visiting the university next week don't feel the same way about it that I do.

(I also hope they don't see the first page of the Student newspaper, The Rabbit, with its in-depth piece on drug availability on campus, but that's another issue entirely).
