Crocuses

Anecdote

It's a family tradition that every year, my younger daughter and I go out in the cold of November and plant crocuses in our garden. We usually plant well over 100, of which 10 will appear if we're lucky.

This year, however, for no obvious reason, the crocuses we planted all grew. Here are the ones at the front:

It's the same story round the back, including the ones we thew in the air and planted where they landed. The best thing is, this means I can't mow the lawn until they're past their prime.

Ha! I knew my plan would come to fruition eventually!
