Yesterday, the Spiritualists' National Union delivered a petition to Downing Street complaining about the repeal of the 1951 Fraudulent Mediums Act, which means their activities will instead be governed by general consumer protection laws.

Huh, it's a bit late for that now, they should have acted much sooner. A shame they didn't see it coming.

However, I'm sure that the fact that they refer to many of their centres as "churches" will get them off the hook. After all, we can't have consumer protection legislation extending to religions...
