Win Lose

Comment

Whatever the result of the England versus Estonia match tonight, I'm not going to be happy. If we lose, I won't be happy because we'll have lost; if we win or draw, I won't be happy because that means Steve McClaren will keep his job as coach for a few games more (before he's inevitably sacked — the man's utterly clueless).

Hmm. Or maybe I'll be happy whatever the result? If we lose or draw, I'll be happy because McClaren will have lost his job, and if we win I'll be happy because we won.

Nah, as a Yorkshireman I have to go with the dour pessimism of the first alternative.
