Second Life's end-user licence agreement used to contain the provision that Linden Lab could suspend your account for "any reason or no reason". This was later changed after much ridicule, but it did rob legal scholars of a nice example of the kind of powers that developers of virtual worlds claim.

Fortunately for them, the idea didn't entirely go away. I spotted this clause in the EULA when I signed up for Palia a couple of months ago:



If you want to sign up for a virtual world operated by potentially unreasoning people, you now know where to go.
