The Holder

Anecdote

I forgot to mention that I received my new passport. I sent off the old one on 23rd December and received the new one on 6th January. This was remarkably fast given that the Passport Office usually has more work than it has time to do and backlogs of three or four months.

The reason I intended to mention it in the first place was because my evidence that I have a PhD (link to university web page, driving licence number, credit card I paid for my new passport with) was accepted: I didn't have to send my PhD certificate.

Perhaps the Passport Office recognises how eminently forgeable Essex University's certificates are, so doesn't see much point in requesting to see them.
