Queue

Anecdote

I went with daughter #1 to pick up the Christmas turkey today. This is what the queue looked like:

There are actually two queues inside, not one, so it's 50% as long again as it looks. It took us half an hour to get to the front, although the people at the farm do bring out mince pies and really good sausage rolls, fresh from the oven, so that makes it more bearable.

Meanwhile, daughter #2 went to Sainsbury's. It took her 40 minutes just to get parked, and no-one gave her free hot food.

The farm shop also gave out mulled wine in plastic cups. Fortunately, there are plenty of places outside where it can be slung for being just as bad as you imagine it is.
