A Note on Notes

I got my first polymer £5 today (I bought it off my mother for £5).

Hmm, they should have made it bigger than the paper note, not smaller. Then, people would have felt it was worth more and that they could buy more with it.

Then again, maybe they went with the idea that if it were smaller, people would think it was worth less and so not care so much when they parted with it.

I guess it's unrealistic to suppose that they could A/B test these opposing views by having differently-sized notes in different parts of the country.
