Swedish Menus

Anecdote

Here's what I learned about Swedish menus last night:

"almond potato" means potato purée;
"asparagus potato" means sprouts;
if something comes "with raspberry and blackberry", you shouldn't be surprised if it has just one of each;
as in many parts of the world, "well done" means "medium rare".

I did find out that the Swedish word for beef is "biff", though, which I think I may be able to remember.
