What Germans Eat

Anecdote

My younger daughter came back from her exchange student visit to Germany yesterday. All members of the family she was staying with were very tall, which, given that both my children are short, was the source of some amusement. They stuffed her full of food, claiming she needed to eat more if she was to shoot up in height, although underfeeding is probably less of a factor in this regard than the fact that my wife comes from a long line of jockeys...

Nevertheless, while she was away she grew 2cm or so, and is now clearly taller than her 4-years-elder sister.

When I was the same age, I went on a school trip to Germany and came back with my voice broken. I didn't notice a thing.

It must be something in the schnitzel.
