I'd heard that Google was so called because it sounded like googol, which as everyone who read Mathematics and the Imagination in their teens is aware, is 1 followed by 100 zeroes. (Yes, I know everyone who saw Charles Ingram not win £1,000,000 answering the question on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? is also aware of it, but do they know what a googleplex is?).
However, I noticed this morning that Google can also be split into two parts, "Go ogle", which seems rather appropriate. I wondered if anyone else had noticed it?
Oh, only about 38,100 of them...
