Student's Dilemma

I had another rescheduled lecture today, EE214, from 9-11. There was snow on the ground, it was hard to get onto campus, it was at an ungodly hour: would the students come or would they stay in bed? It's the classic game theory "student's dilemma":

Everyone else comesEveryone else stays away
I comeWe're all inconveniencedI'll do better than everyone else in the exam
I stay awayEveryone else will do better than me in the examThe exam will have to be made easier because we all missed the lecture
For the record, 8 students attended and 9 stayed away.
