The sign says: "Pick your own strawberries".
One of these days, I'm going to sneak up to such a sign in the dead of night and add one word to it, "damned".
"Pick your own damned strawberries".
Swear words are supposed to be the refuge of people with insufficiently expressive vocabularies , but sometimes they really can make a difference that you just can't get using any other kind of word.
