Anecdote
I forgot to bring my laptop to work today. Ordinarily, I'd have gone home and got it, but not today because of the snow. This means I'll have to give my lecture from the computer in the room, which would be fine if it had my fonts installed but it doesn't and I can't install them. I've therefore had to convert the whole lecture into a font that it does have installed, which regrettably is Comic Sans (plus Cooper Black for emphasis). I shall probably cause untold psychological damage to my student this way, but happily I'm protected by freedom-of-speech legislation.
