Anecdote
My mother wants me to hang a picture on her wall when I visit tomorrow, and asked me to "bring your drill so you can put a nail in".
This isn't a slip of the tongue or anything. She really is so untechnical that she thought I'd need to use a drill to put in a nail. When I replied that I'd bring my hammer, the effect was no different to what it would have been if I'd said I'd bring my file.
I think I must have inherited my ability to use basic tools from my dad.
