Many Hands

Anecdote

At the weekend, my elder daughter made the mistake of admiring the wooden articulated artists' hand at her aunt and uncle's house. This meant she'd inadvertently revealed the existence of something I could possibly buy her for Christmas. She tried to talk me out of it, but ha! If she wanted a wooden articulated artists' hand, then a wooden articulated artists' hand is what she's going to get, whether she likes it or not.

On Monday, I did some online shopping and found a nice a wooden articulated artists' hand. It was a right one. I figured she'd probably want a left one, too, so I ordered one of those as well from the same supplier. They arrived a couple of days ago.

Unexpectedly, they also arrived today.

I checked my order and I didn't accidentally order twice (which is to be expected, as I bought them separately). It turns out that the right a wooden articulated artists' hand comes with a left a wooden articulated artists' hand and the left a wooden articulated artists' hand comes with a right a wooden articulated artists' hand. I therefore have two spare a wooden articulated artists' hands I don't know what to do with.

Maybe my other daughter can use them for storing rings or something...
