Anecdote
I've jusdt watched a man rip the wheel assembly and handle off his suitcase so he could fit it inside the test frame for carry-on cabin luggage, so as to avoid having to pay the £40 charge EasyJet wanted from him to put it in the hold..
Something of a false economy if you ask me...
