Anecdote
Yesterday, I dropped a flake of chocolate on the floor.
OK, I know you're not supposed to eat things you've dropped on the floor, but it was chocolate. It's not sticky, I dropped it on the carpet in the main room; if I picked it up immediately and ate it, it would probably be germ free and I'd be fine.
I therefore picked it up and ate it.
Hmm.
Well I don't know what it was I actually picked up and ate, but it wasn't the chocolate...
